The thermo-acoustic tilt-and-turn window

The new trend in Colombia and in several countries of Central and South America are the tilt and turn windows and thermoacoustic, this type of windows already has a lot of trajectory in European countries where systems are copied to be applied in our environments for the great advantages they offer.

We are moving from window systems with a single horizontal sliding movement and low-gauge glass to windows with greater versatility in movement to match environmental conditions and higher-gauge, double-glazed glass.

The tilt and turn windows are those that have several opening axes both horizontally and vertically, the aluminum profiles are of greater caliber and combination, the structural cuts for assembly must be at an angle of 90°.

A casement window is similar to a casement window, but in this case the opening of the sash is produced by pivoting on the lower sash instead of on the side, when the hinge is on the lower sash and the window opens from the top it is usually called a tilt-and-turn window.

Climalit windows are also on the rise, which are those that incorporate double glazing, or what is the same as double glazing with an air chamber on the inside, this allows a more efficient insulation solution than monolithic glass.

This new type of windows, due to its structure and requirements, involves the use of several gaskets that guarantee the seal against the environmental conditions of the exterior, as well as to preserve the required climatic environment in the interior. Some of the gaskets used for these windows are:

Coextruded bubble packs

Movable pressure wedge packings

Acoustic center seal gasket
